The AFM was designed for mixed or single acid processes where the concentrations of suspended solids are low to moderate, such as in pickling of cold finished stainless tubular products and fittings, pickling of stainless welded parts, and titanium and zirconium pickling and chemical milling processes.
The AFM utilizes a series of woven thermoplastic fabric elements that are automatically cleaned using a back-pulse of water. Having no cartridges that need replacing and disposing of, along with a very low volume of water for cleaning, the AFM is a superior alternative to cartridge and/or media filtration.
