Rabirun Vinimay is a part of BRG group based in Dhenkanal, Orissa and Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. The company manufactures stainless steel cold rolled coils, sheets and profiles. Modern and innovative, Rabirun Vinimay has chosen to include only cutting-edge technology for precision cold rolling, laser cutting and blanking, acid recycling, bright annealing and robotized fabrication in its newest production plants.
At Odisha Works, Rabirun Vinimay installed annealing and pickling lines originally installed at Outokumpu, Sheffield Works that originally operated with Scanacon equipment. Rabirun Vinimay awarded Scanacon to supply acid management equipment for all annealing and pickling lines at its Odisha works, with the expectation to achieve the same benefits originally achieved at Sheffield, and beyond.
Scanacon provided three complete Acid Management systems for Rabirun Vinimay consisting of SA70 Acid Managers, acid filtration and acid recovery systems for two Cold Rolled Annealing & Pickling Lines (CAPL) and one Hot Rolled Annealing & Pickling Line (HAPL).
The project is nearing completion of the commissioning stage. The acid management system for CAPL 2 has been commissioned. Scanacon’s system for HAPL1 has been installed and the remaining system for CAPL1 is now in the installation phase.
